What Does It Mean To Have Grit?

Grit is about having passion and perseverance over the long term. It’s about knowing who you are and what you want. When you know your purpose, it’s easy to have grit. Know who you are and what you stand for. Once you have this, it’s easy to have grit because your actually living on purpose.

Passion

1. Purpose

Passion comes from purpose. Purpose is about growth, service, and overcoming your own story. When you have passion you make up everyday and know what you want and why your here.

2. Care

Caring about what you do is very important. Everyday, you have an opportunity to wake up and get after it. All of our decisions can determine the quality and trajectory of our life.

3. Gratitude

Gratitude is the key to success. This is because what you appreciate appreciates, and what you focus on tends to expand. You get to become the greatest version of your self everyday, take advantage of it.

Persistence

1. Discipline

It’s very important to have discipline. Discipline equals freedom. The more discipline you have the better. Freedom is not just about doing everything that you want, but it’s actually about getting results. In order to do that, you actually have to implement certain habits, mindsets, and ways of being.

2. Freedom

Freedom is the key to success. How I would define freedom is being free of obstruction in all areas of life. Not to say that you won’t have challenges, but it’s more so about how you handle them.

3. Truth

You must stand for the truth in all circumstances. This is because the truth is the most important thing, and the highest form of frequency. We often have to overcome ourselves to find it. It is always present, the question is will we be receptive to it or not?

Motivation

1. Play

It’s important to have play. Having periods of rest and recovery will help restore motivation. Know that you matter and are worthy. Resting is key because it allows you to think and contemplate things. This will allow you to get better at anything.

3. Embrace failure

Failure is part of success. Most people give up because of failure. A better approach is to view it as education. Failure is just feedback. Don’t change the goal, change the approach. Knowing this will allow you to stay the course in the face of adversity.

3. Stay the course

You must keep going in anything that you do. Understand that success is a journey, and it’s all about the process. Success is really about the person that you become in the process. Also, success is something you attract by the person that you become.
