The Laws Of Freedom
What Are The Laws Of Freedom?
The laws of freedom consist of a variety of principles in order to stay free. They are intrinsic within us, and accessible to everyone. Freedom is inherent in us, sure you can shut things down, but you can never take the true essence of freedom. We don’t play by the rules, we live by principle. Discipline equals freedom. Yes you can do whatever you want, but what are your results? If you want to be healthy, wealthy, or have great relationships; we must have the discipline to implement certain practices, habits, and mindset to get the results.
1. Awareness
Increasing your self awareness will improve your situational awareness. Also, being able to critical think will improve awareness. An example would be knowing whether or not it’s a real fear, or made up. Listening to your inner guidance will help you know how to respond.
2. No retreat, no surrender
If you have a goal that you know in your heart is your, you must go for it. There will always be challenges that come up, but we must persevere. Obstacles are just opportunities to find out what to do differently. Failure is feedback, don’t change the goal, adjust the approach. The only time to change your goal is if it’s no longer in alignment with you, or it’s common sense to do so. In this case it is not quitting, it’s just making an intelligent decision that will set you up for future success.
3. Master the are of shutting the fuck up
Learning to listen and be still is key. When we become still, we can become wise because it is through the silence that we can be open and receptive to truth. Silence opens up new channels and pathways in our brain than if were always talking. Given our brains time to process and think activated the default mode network (DMN) in our brain, which is designed for problem solving. We are inundated with a plethora of information everyday. We have a ton of knowledge, but are starving for wisdom. Rarely do we stop, think, and process what we actually learned. There is a lack of deep thought and devotion to excellence. Be a light, not a shadow. Processing information and applying what we know leads to wisdom.
4. Altruism
This is the character trait of looking out for life as a whole. Being able to see people for who they are and willing to help. You see the value in all life, and will do anything to preserve and expand it. Being generous is a virtue. Giving from your overflow so you are not left drained. Anytime you truly have the ability to help someone, do it. The more you give, the more you get. Even with that, you are not giving to get, but giving to serve. We are all connected, and if other people are winning, in a way we all are. The rising tide raises all ships, and there’s enough for everyone.
5. Self love
Self love is very multifaceted. It can be a combination of self compassion, admiration, devotion, support, and care. Having it, or not having it will effect everything in your for better or worse. It will influence the standards you have, what you let influence you, how you take care of yourself, the choices you make, and how you deal with challenges.
6. North star
Purpose is what wakes you up everyday with enthusiasm and direction. It gives you a foundation on how to build your life. The thing about purpose, is that it’s not always great, it will give you a lot of challenges as well. I believe the foundation of everyones purpose is growth and service, but how everyone expresses that is going to be different. Your purpose can also change overtime, but not the foundation. I used to believe that it had to be tied in with your career, but not necessarily. Perhaps now, it’s to be the best parent you can be, and maybe in a few years it will be something else.
7. Spirituality
This is the practice of going within, and discovering who we are. This is our foundation, and will directly correlate to how we operate in our reality. There are many practices to help deepen this awareness, such as meditation, breath work, and cold thermogenesis. These will help with stillness and the ability to go deeper. If we have any preconceived notions about spirituality, it’s simply the process of being on your own journey with a focus on growth and service.
