Books, podcasts, online courses are great, but being in person is something special.

If it all possible, check the spot out before your speaking. It will help you visualize and see what needs to happen. From this place we can create real change because when preparation meets opportunity, you will be ready. This goes beyond just the physical stage, but also your own environment, mentally, and emotionally.

Far beyond practicing your speech, you need to become the information. This is because it should flow naturally and should not sound like a rehearsed robot. Being passionate about the topic is key as well. Have you lived this? The number one form of knowledge is your own experience. Understand that people don’t just want you, they want the best you. Speak for generations to come, understand you have the ability to effect change. The power is within you.

You are on stage to be of service, so the best thing you can do is get out of your head and understand it’s not about you. People are not there to judge you, they are there to learn. People came to see you and your expertise. More than that, they want to create a change within their own lives. It is up to you and your duty to become the greatest version of yourself so you can serve to full capacity!

Meet the other speakers or organizers of the event. Doing this will help create synergy and understand that you are part of an overall bigger mission. The mission of freedom. Knowing this will help you connect with others because you have an altruistic reason of doing so.
