Longevity Compounds- Reverse Aging, Build Muscle, and Create Balance
What Are Longevity Compounds?
Longevity compounds are molecules that act in the body to promote longevity. We have something called senescent cells in our bodies that constitute aging. There are certain factors that cause aging. Some of the are AGEs (advanced glycation end products), high inflammation, and blood glucose. These compounds help slow down these actions.
Anti Aging Compounds
1. Spermidine
This is a compound found in sperm that has over 13,000 studies on longevity. It works mainly by the process called autophagy. This is a process of cellular cleanup, basically going around and cleaning up damaged cells. This compound is also found in certain foods like sweet potatoes, pumpkin seeds, and wheat germ. You can also use your imagination.
2. Resveratrol
This is a compound found in grape skins and an herb called Japanese knotweed. This is extremely high in polyphenols and anti tumor properties. It can also help regulated cholesterol levels.
3. NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)
There are various forms of NAD like NADPH, and NAD plus. Basically this is critically important when it comes to DNA repair. There are various compounds that are converted to NAD in the body. Niacin (B3), NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide), NR (nicotinamide riboside).
4. C60
C60 contains 60 carbon atoms, and is possibly the most powerful antioxidant there is. Also, it’s 100x more effective than most antioxidants. There has been research showing that when rats were given regular doses, they doubled their lifespan. Not all C60 is created equally. To get clean, effective C60, look for the sublimated version. Look for 99.99% pure C60, anything else may have solvents in it.
5. Urolithin A
This compound is super fuel for the mitochondria. It’s a postbiotic, or a compound that gut bacteria make after consuming pomegranate. There is compelling research showing that it significantly increases the process of mitophagy (renewing of mitochondria), muscle strength, and endurance.
