How we have Outsourced our Freedom, and how to Reclaim it

What is Freedom?

Freedom is the inherit state of all human beings. It is not given by man, but by the universe. Freedom is the ability to express ourselves in the highest possible capacity.

How We Have Outsourced Our Freedom

All of these organizations were designed to be centralized, which means all the power is in one place. In this framework, the truth doesn’t always win, but the story does.

Social media-

The first generation of social media is social media as we know it. Whether we know it or not, we don’t own our account, content, or followers. This all belongs to the platform itself. This means we can be censored if we don’t abide by their rules. We’ve seen that more than ever in recent times.

Media-

The media uses the power of fear in order to get our attention. Charlie Chester, technical director at CNN admits network is used for pushing fear to get views, which is why they had a death toll tracker for Covid. We know that the media gets funded billions of dollars every year through pharmaceutical companies. This is why you never hear anything negative about drugs, if you do, it’s very quick.

Internet-

Google is a well know company that almost everyone uses. It consists of about 92% of the search engine results. Google, unfortunately, google is a surveillance company. They primarily make their money through advertising. Google collects data on people in order to do this. They use three primary tactics: surveillance, censorship, and manipulation. The surveillance piece is how they collect the data on you. Every google tool does this. Whether it’s the search engine, Gmail, or google calendar. Censorship refers to censoring certain information, while keeping others. Manipulation refers to a variety of tactics. Some of them are changing the suggested searches, changing the order of listed searches, and manipulating voting data.

1. Digital monitization

2. Open source

3. Peer governance instead of platform governance

4. Censorship resistant

5. Creators own everything

6. Digital property rights
