What Does It Mean To Be A Warrior?
A warrior is someone who strives to be the greatest versions of themselves everyday. Someone who constantly refines who they are, and their craft. This type of mindset comes with hard work and dedication. You know your values, and willing to uphold them at any cost. There are many attributes of a warrior, which I will talk about today.
Physicality
1. Fitness
Fitness is about using the tool of your body to become the greatest version of yourself. Your body allows you to take action and make your dreams a reality. This is why it’s important to keep it in good working order. Lifting weights and mobility is key. The more fit you are, the more productive you can be.
2. Breathing
Mouth breathing activates the barrel reflux in the chest, activating the sympathetic nervous system because you only can breathe shallow. When breathing through the nose, you have many structures that the air passes through in order to get filtered, and go to the lungs. When breathing through the nose, your able to get the air much deeper in the lungs, where the receptors activate relaxation. Nose breathing produces six times more nitric oxide than breathing through the mouth. Nitric oxide has been proven to protect from viruses.
3. Mindful living
Mindful living, such as nutrition and meditation help you adapt to various circumstances. We all talk about doing things with our mind, but what if that isn’t enough? Training our bodies and nervous systems is very important because that allows our mind to do what it needs to do.
Speech
1. Say what you mean. and mean what you say
It’s very important to say what you mean, and mean what you say. Doing this will ensure you maintain integrity with yourself, and others. You are only worth your word, so make sure that it counts. If you don’t do this, people will know that they can’t count on you. Maintaining your integrity is key.
2. Do it anyway
The mindset of someone who is really about that life does it anyway. Does whatever it takes to make their dream a reality. Even if your not ready, you have what it takes. Never give up on your mission.
3. Laconic Speech
The ancient Spartans were known to destroy your entire dialogue within a few words or phrases. They had many savage one liners. The point here is to have substance in what you say.
Internal Power
1. Develop self knowledge
Self knowledge is having the awareness in oneself to become great. The know how to make your dreams a reality. Staying free in the face of adversity is key. Starting to meditate, journal, and contemplate your life is very important. If you don’t do this, it’s easy to be swayed by the winds of life, and not know where your going.
2. Align yourself with the truth
The truth is always present, the question is will we be receptive to it or not. If often have to remove the internal obstructions in order to find it. This can come in the form of past trauma, old habits, or ways of being. They’re are many hindrances, and overcoming them is key. We must get over ourselves, and align ourself with what is real.
3. The quest within
The quest within is all about developing yourself internally. You must develop you character and your skills. This will ensure you become the greatest version of yourself. Ask empowering questions, and get to know what is real. Freedom and empowerment come from within, remember this.
