Foundational Principles Of Healing The Body
Principles Of Healing The Body
No matter what your goals are, whether it’s to optimize your health, maintain, or heal a chronic disease; there are foundational tenets that are required for health to take place. Without these tenets, health will be impossible to achieve. Just like anything, if you want to be great, you have to make it s study, and it comes down to the fundamentals. Today, we will be going over what fundamental principles of health are.
1. Eat real food
If we want to heal the body, when it comes to nutrition, the first principle is to eat real food. This means eat what came from nature. Meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, grains, and legumes. Anything else is probably ultra processed food. Our ancestors will not recognize Lucky Charms. Also, just because something is a real food, doesn’t mean that it’s for you. You may need to cut certain things out based on your state of health, or your goals.
2. Movement
The body requires movement to heal itself. We have something called the lymphatic system, which moves immune cells, and waste throughout the body. The lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump, and requires for you to move in order for you to move. There is a difference between exercise and movement. Exercise is referred to a formal session such as weights, movement can be cooking, or taking a walk. It’s not just about having a formal session, which is important, but it’s about being active throughout the day to keep things working.
3. Sleep quality
Sleep is the glue that holds your health together, and the foundation of which all the principles rest on. During sleep is where we assimilate all the nutrients we take in to repair our bodies. It’s when we secrete anti aging hormones such as testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH). Without sleep, things are going to go down quickly. Just like anything else there are certain foundational principles if you want to do something of quality. It’s not just about sleep quality, but more so quality; to learn more about that, click here.
4. Know thyself
This is referring to the mind. There are two fields of science I am going to bring to your attention. Psychoneuroimmunology, psychoneuroendocrinology and psychoneurobiology. Literally translating to how are thoughts and how we feel impact our health as a whole. It’s not just about doing the physical things, that will only get you so far. It’s also about taking care of the mind, emotions, and the spirit. Getting to know you limiting beliefs and patterns, or what’s holding you back in life. Is there anything you need to let go of? Are you living on your purpose? Do you really know who you are? All things to contemplate.
5. Relationships
Relationships may be the most important factor overall. Keep in mind that all relationships start with you. You you relate to yourself is how you will generally relate to the world. It will greatly impact how you relate to other people. Learn to foster great relationships by first working on your character. It is the quality of ones character that allows for compassion, celebration, caring, and all the traits that go into a great relationship. In order to learn more about this, click here.
