Health Philosophy- Principles, Concepts, and Wisdom
What Is Health Philosophy?
Health philosophy is about understanding the principles and concepts behind wellness. Understanding this on a deep level will help you navigate wellness. There is no one size fits all approach, it’s really about personalization. Even know that there are certain universal principles that apply
Principles
1. Look at the history
It’s important to look at the history of things. Looking at the history of things will help you determine whether it’s accurate or not. An example would be if someone had bad intentions in creating something, then perhaps it’s not accurate.
2. Look at things from multiple perspectives
Science is not the be all end all. It’s a great tool but is often corrupt. Looking at things from an ancestral perspective and filtering things through your own knowledge can be useful as well.
3. Know your why
Knowing your why can help you determine your decisions. Living with integrity will help you know the truth. You will be able to spot what is real and what isn’t very easily.
Concepts
1. Avoid extreme ideologies
It’s important to avoid extreme ideologies. People are always going to tell a perspective that worked for them. That’s great, but to say that it works for everyone is not always true. Ultimately, you have to filter ideas through your own goals and experience.
2. Eat real food
It’s important to eat real food. This is on of the most basic principles of all wellness. Real food is what our bodies are designed to eat, not things that were made in the lab. Doing this will pay great dividends.
3. Personalize your approach
Personalizing your approach is the only real way to achieve wellness. This is because you are one of one, and you are unique. You need to do things based off your state of health and your goals. This takes practice and experience, which is why it can also be a skill.
Wisdom
1. Stand for the truth
It’s very important to stand for the truth. This means to stand for what is real. When you find out what is real inside of yourself, it’s much easier to see what is real on the outside. Elevate yourself and you will see great dividends.
2. Know your mission
Your mission is what you filter your decisions through. Without a north star, it’s hard to navigate your life. Have something that you work toward everyday. The goal is to be of service.
3. Elevate the conversation
This is about making a contribution. Being willing to have empowering conversations with people. Keep freedom on the mind and love in the heart. Nothing can stop a soul who’s time has come.
