Leadership- What It Is, and Leadership Tactics
What Is Leadership?
Leadership at it’s core is first the ability to lead one self, then being a guide for others to do the same. There is a variety of different types of leadership, but the underline premise is that it starts with you. We all can be leaders because it is not a fixed trait, and is something that can be developed. Sure, there may be some genetic aspect, but like everything else, it’s a skill that can be learned. Leaders are made through the person we become. It’s in the moments that no one is looking that create us. We first make our habits, then our habits make us. We are what we repeatedly do. A real leader leads by example, not so much by what they say, but what they do.
Self Awareness
The Power of Self Awareness-
Increasing your self awareness will improve your situational awareness. Also, being able to critical think will improve awareness. An example would be knowing whether or not it’s a real fear, or made up. Listening to your inner guidance will help you know how to respond.
Have peoples best interest-
A leader muse have peoples best interest. Not coming from a place of knowing what’s best for other people, but acting as a guide to people to their own answers. A real leader acts as a model to unlock peoples own potential.
Know your people-
Knowing your people is vital because each person is truly unique. You can not talk to everyone the same, each person will respond differently. The thing is a leader must adapt is approach while relying on foundational principles.
Service
World vision-
Having a world vision is about being freedom oriented and having the ability to serve to you highest capacity. This will allow you to make the maximum impact because you have a vision of a better future, a future where being the greatest version of yourself is the norm. This is important because it gives you something to aim for, something to work for.
Altruism-
This is the character trait of looking out for life as a whole. Being able to see people for who they are and willing to help. You see the value in all life, and will do anything to preserve and expand it. Being generous is a virtue. Giving from your overflow so you are not left drained. Anytime you truly have the ability to help someone, do it. The more you give, the more you get. Even with that, you are not giving to get, but giving to serve. We are all connected, and if other people are winning, in a way we all are. The rising tide raises all ships, and there’s enough for everyone.
No retreat, no surrender-
If you have a goal that you know in your heart is your, you must go for it. There will always be challenges that come up, but we must persevere. Obstacles are just opportunities to find out what to do differently. Failure is feedback, don’t change the goal, adjust the approach. The only time to change your goal is if it’s no longer in alignment with you, or it’s common sense to do so. In this case it is not quitting, it’s just making an intelligent decision that will set you up for future success.
Gratitude-
Why am I putting this in here? This is because it’s an honor and a privilege to serve other people. Were all on this journey together, and the more people we can help and break out of the matrix, the better. You must honor your craft. You are not where you want to be because you waste your energy on meaningless tasks. Your energy is diluted, and are lacking a devotion to excellence. Being grateful reflects in your actions as well.
