What Is CBD Oil?

CBD oil is a derivative of the marijuana plant. This does not get you high, as it contains trace amounts of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). CBD can be sold as a liquid, extract, vaporized liquid, and an oil-based capsule.

Benefits Of CBD Oil-

1. Reduces anxiety

CBD has been proven to reduce anxiety. CBD interacts with the cannabinoid type 1 receptor (CB1R), the serotonin 5-HT1A receptor, and other receptors in the brain that regulate fear and anxiety-induced behaviors.

2. Reduces pain

CBD oil has also been shown to significantly reduce pain. Many people also report it helping with arthritis and nerve pain.

3. Improves sleep quality

This paper shows how it reduce cortisol, leading to better sleep outcomes. CBD can interact with endocannabinoid system receptors to reduce feelings of anxiety, stress, or pain.

Different Types Of CBD Oil-

Full spectrum-

Full-spectrum oil (aka whole-plant extract), contains not only CBD but a host of other naturally occurring cannabinoids and compounds found in the hemp plant. Full spectrum oil contains flavonoids, which have anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and neuroprotective properties. CBD isolate is a form of pure CBD that has been further processed and is stripped of all other components. This will provide more benefits, and relief than a CBD isolate. Full spectrum also contains CBG, CBN, CBA, and THC. It can have no more than .3% THC to be legal. Think of it as a whole food VS a supplement. The whole food will have cofactors and bioconstituents that make the food more viable.

Broad spectrum-

This is the same thing, but without the THC.

Isolate-

This is pure CBD with nothing else in it. Tends to be less effective because there is no synergy.
